¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!

Spanish I is a basic introduction to the language.  For the first six weeks it will feel like you've started kindergarten again.  You will learn the colors, numbers, days of the weeks, months of the year, etc. very quickly. In addition to that, you will begin to speak (by using scripted dialogs and at times, writing your own), read and listen to Spanish.  The first six weeks is the easiest.

The second six weeks begins putting together sentences, verb conjugations, noun/adjective agreement.  As we progress, the concepts become more difficult and more at-home study is required.

The third six weeks places you in about the sixth grade (see how fast you learn in Spanish!!! from kindergarten to sixth grade in ONE semester!!!!). More complex verb structures will be learned and now you are writing paragraphs about yourself, family and friends.  Everything will continue to be done in the present tense.

If you complete your homework assignments, study the vocabulary, do well on tests and quizzes, you will definitely pass the class and be ready for Spanish II.
